Rosie – Rosie has been my main saddle horse for years.
She is 7/8 Arab, and is probably the smartest trail horse I have ever ridden.
She is tough, and a great walker. Before I got into the Tennessee Walkers,
she has out walked any horse I have ridden or ridden with, which is quite
a lot. She has gotten me out of many jams in the woods, and on one occasion
got several of us out of the woods when it was so dark we could not see our
hands in front of our faces in the rain and sleet when we had to cross several
significant creeks and find forks in the trail we could not see. She is legendary
among any who have ridden or hunted with me in the wilderness.
She is not for sale. However, she does have two foals, Boxer and Duke, mentioned on this website, and if they have the toughness, stamina, and smarts of their mother and the gait of their father, they will be phenomenal trail horses. They are not registered, but could end up being the best ones on the place.
